The tourism season in Kurdistan Region has begun, and fortunately, most elements of the tourism sector are present in the region. We can say that a large portion of our tourist destinations are ecological and natural, especially in spring when every inch of Kurdistan’s land can be viewed and utilized as a tourist destination.

What we want to discuss in this article is the aspect of tourist awareness and culture. Some travel behaviors and methods are personal and related to individuals and families, but other tourist behaviors are general and subject to public rights. For example, keeping tourist sites clean from food waste, beverages, and other necessities

What is notable and often the complaint of many citizens and tourists themselves is the noise, shouting, and loud music and celebrations of some tourists. While tourists have the right to enjoy their time, it should not come at the expense of disturbing other tourists, because in all circumstances, the environment and tourist sites are mostly public property and every citizen has the right to benefit from these environments and places. It’s normal for some tourists in private rented tourist locations to enjoy their preferences and atmosphere, but this should also be within certain limits without disrupting the safety of others and the environment.

The behavior of hosts and local people in tourist areas toward tourists demonstrates their civility and citizenship, and it becomes very important and influential during the tourism season to take advantage of these opportunities to generate income while simultaneously protecting the environment and tourist sites in our region.
