He denied Turkey’s role while highlighting Saudi Arabia’s potential as positive mediator, especially after its major role in lifting sanctions on Syria. Daily Communication Channels Open with Syrian Government

SDF Commander Mazloum Abdi confirmed in an exclusive interview with Al Arabiya and Al Hadath channels that communication channels with the Syrian government are open on a daily basis, emphasizing the SDF’s agreement with the government on Syria’s unity with one army and one flag, according to his expression.

Saudi Arabia’s Potential Mediating Role

The Syrian Democratic Forces commander denied any role for Turkey in this regard, noting that Saudi Arabia could play a positive role if it entered as a mediator, especially after its major role in lifting sanctions on Syria. Abdi described his meeting with Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaʿ as positive, denying receiving any offer from the Syrian government to assume a new position.

Centralized Military Structure and Sovereign Institutions

The Syrian Democratic Forces commander said that some sovereign institutions must maintain their centralization in the capital Damascus, indicating that Syria will have one army, not two armies, within a “military centralization.”

Abdi confirmed the Kurdish group’s agreement on the SDF’s proposals, noting the existence of concern about integration into the Syrian army without constitutional guarantees, according to his statement.
